WV Punk Rock Flea Market
March 21 was West Virginia’s first Punk Rock Flea Market held in Huntington. There were over 80 vendors and about nine solid hours of fantastic bands like the Jerks and Quilt Monster. It’s one of the best vending events I’ve been a part of, and I was so proud of my community for coming out and supporting all of us. Here’s hoping this will be an annual event!
Trans Day of Visibility
I was a featured speaker at Huntington Pride’s Trans Day of Visibility event held at Heritage Station on March 29. It was a really cool, chill day with snacks provided by some rad restaurants and the Gender Reveal podcast. I read an excerpt from Disco 3000 #5 (more on that later), and people really seemed to respond to it.
Record Store Day April 18
I’ll be vending at the Orbit Records’ Record Store Day Block Party in Barboursville on April 18. It’s going to be a good time with lots of rad bands and cool vendors. Pick up a limited-edition RSD album from Orbit and check out vending tables from myself and some of my homies. I’ll have zines as well as t-shirts and of course record bowls!
Disco 3000 Issue 5
I’m currently working on Disco 3000 issue 5 (or Porch Beers 9? Weigh in if you have an opinion). This is another Pride issue with a narrower focus on trans topics. Should be out in time for this June, so keep your eyes peeled in all the regular spots.
In case you missed it
